Building a Greater Dallas

  • Thursday, Jul 8, 2021 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM CDT

Sorry, this event is not available.

This event was available from Saturday, January 9, 2021 12:00 AM until the event start date.

The DEC@Redbird, Southern Dallas’ hub for entrepreneurial support, is joining the B.U.I.L.D. Collaborative – which stands for Broadening Urban Investment to Leverage Dallas – for a series of convenings  on “Building a Greater Dallas Through Inclusive Entrepreneurial Growth.” The second virtual discussion in the series will take place at noon Thursday, July 8.  The event is for business support practitioners, capital providers, ecosystem builders, and philanthropic partners.

Years of structural barriers founded in discriminatory economic policies have created a significant challenge in addressing our nation's racial wealth divide and gender inequities.  Among the potential solutions to the disparities that exist are equitable access to capital and business support resources for entrepreneurs of color, women founders, and small business owners in Southern Dallas.

This summer, we’ll continue to discuss opportunities to advance the Dallas small business ecosystem to ensure equitable and inclusive access to resources exist for all entrepreneurs. On July 8th at 12:00 pm, we will host conversations with economic impact experts including:

Tracey Jarmon - Chief of Staff, CapEQ
Drexell Owusu - Chief Impact Officer, Dallas Foundation
Benjamin Vann - Founder and CEO, Impact Ventures

Selections are not reserved until order is complete.
